TRP TR-57M Disc Rotor 160 mm 6-Bolt for 3X3 Hub
The TRP TR-57M Disc Rotor 160 mm × 1.8 mm is a one-piece 6-bolt brake rotor with the 3X3-specific mount – the rotor we supply for bikes with the 3X3 gear hub and the TRP Hywave hydraulic brake.
Why the TRP TR-57M?
One-piece construction. Simple and robust, with no rivets between the braking ring and the carrier. 
6-bolt, 3X3-specific mount. Six bolts on the 3X3 gear hub's own rotor interface, so it sits correctly on the hub without an adapter. 
160 mm size. A common size for road, gravel and touring bikes. 
1.8 mm thickness. The thickness TRP specifies for its Hywave and Hywire calipers.
What it is for
Fitting a disc rotor to a wheel built around the 3X3 gear hub, pairing with the TRP Hywave brake-shift system (which TRP makes for 1.8 mm rotors and for 3X3 shifting), or replacing a worn or bent 160 mm rotor on an existing 3X3 hub bike.
Rotor mounts: 1 – centerlock, 2 – six-bolt. This rotor uses the six-bolt mount (2).
Who is it for?
- Owners of a 3X3 gear hub bike. A spare or replacement rotor that matches their setup.
- Riders with a TRP Hywave brake. A rotor of the right thickness.
- Mechanics and home builders. Lacing a new 3X3 wheel with the rotor we use ourselves.
- Riders who notice a weaker or noisy brake. A worn or warped rotor reduces braking; replacing it together with new pads restores the feel.

Frequently asked questions
Will the TRP TR-57M fit a centerlock hub?
No. This rotor uses the 3X3-specific 6-bolt mount. For a centerlock hub, choose a centerlock rotor.
Will it fit a standard 6-bolt hub?
It is made for the 3X3 gear hub's own rotor mount. For a standard 6-bolt hub, ask us before ordering.
Can I use it with a non-TRP brake?
The rotor is 1.8 mm thick. It suits calipers that are specified for 1.8 mm rotors and set up for 160 mm. Check your brake maker's rotor recommendation.
Should I change the pads when I change the rotor?
It is good practice. Old pads are bedded to the old rotor surface; fresh pads bed in evenly on a new rotor.
