Booda Bike Banker - M

Booda Bike Banker
Belt-driven trekking bike with Shimano Alfine hub gear
8 or 11 speeds for smooth, versatile everyday riding
The Booda Bike Banker is built for comfortable, fast everyday riding with minimal maintenance.
Its steel frame and carbon fork provide a smooth, controlled ride on asphalt, while the Schwalbe G-One Speed tubeless tyres add enough versatility for light gravel and rougher city roads.
The relaxed geometry keeps the riding position comfortable even on longer rides, while the Shimano Alfine 8 or 11 internal gear hub delivers clean, smooth shifting with very little maintenance.
In short: the Booda Bike Banker is a low-maintenance, belt-driven trekking bike with a steel frame, a carbon fork, a sealed Shimano Alfine 8 internal gear hub (Alfine 11 as an upgrade), a Gates Carbon Drive belt instead of a chain, hydraulic disc brakes and Schwalbe G-One Speed 622×35 tubeless tyres. With no derailleur to adjust, no chain to lubricate and sealant in the tyres to close small punctures, it suits daily commuting and everyday riding on asphalt and light gravel. It comes in frame sizes S, M and L for riders from 155 to 200 cm.

Steel frame Steel naturally helps absorb road vibration while still providing enough stiffness for precise, responsive handling.
Alfine 8/11 gear hub The Shimano Alfine 8 and 11 internal gear hubs offer smooth, low-maintenance shifting with sealed designs that use grease (Alfine 8) or oil-bath lubrication (Alfine 11) for optimal durability. The Alfine 8 provides a 307% gear range, while the Alfine 11 offers a wider 409% range, making both well suited to varied terrain and urban commuting.
~ 11 kg The bike weighs approximately 11 kilograms without accessories, which is very light for a steel-framed, hub-geared bike of this type. This is thanks to the high-quality steel frame and the carbon fork. The low weight contributes to a comfortable and enjoyable ride.
Hydraulic disc brakes The hydraulic disc brake system is one of the lowest-maintenance solutions available. It offers great efficiency at an affordable price and can be upgraded to a higher-end braking system if desired.
Gates Carbon Drive system The Gates Carbon Drive belt system is clean, quiet, and virtually maintenance-free. It doesn’t require lubrication, won’t rust, and lasts significantly longer than a traditional chain. A premium choice for smooth and reliable riding.
Internal cable routing Every detail of the bike was carefully designed to keep it clean and good-looking, which is why internal cable routing is a standard feature.

Shimano Alfine 8 gear hub (standard)
The Shimano Alfine 8 is a sealed internal gear hub, so there is no derailleur to adjust. It offers smooth, intuitive shifting for everyday riding and climbing, and the gears are changed directly from the handlebar.

Aluminium mudguard set
Choose the bike with the aluminium mudguard set designed specifically for this model. You can also ask for the lighting set to be integrated.

Supernova dynamo lighting system
Choose the dynamo-powered Supernova E3 Pure 3 lighting system with a Shutter Precision hub dynamo if you want worry-free, continuous lighting on your bike. The rear light can be mounted on the fender, the rear rack, or the seatpost clamp—whichever suits you best.

Battery-powered Supernova light
Choose your bike with the battery-powered Supernova Airstream 2 headlight, paired with an integrated rear light mounted on the seatpost clamp. The front light is removable, which makes it easy to recharge, and it can also be used as a flashlight.

Rear rack for carrying your extra gear
Choose the Tubus Fly Classic rear rack, optionally with an integrated rear light (available for the Supernova Airstream 2 and Supernova E3 systems).

Handlebar, grips and stem options
As standard, the Banker has a 640 mm aluminium Noirette handlebar with Ergo grips and a 90 mm stem. If you prefer something different, you can choose a 660 mm carbon riser handlebar, standard (non-Ergo) grips, or a shorter or longer stem (60, 80, 100 or 110 mm).

Puncture protection: tubeless Schwalbe G-One Speed tyres
Schwalbe tyres are among the best options on the market for our bikes. We supply them tubeless by default, as the sealant helps seal small punctures, reducing the chance of flats. TPU inner tubes with the specified tyre model are also available, as are wider Schwalbe G-One Allround 622×40 tyres and the extra puncture-protected Schwalbe Marathon Efficiency 622×35 (inner tubes only, not tubeless ready).

Gates Carbon Drive belt system
The Gates Carbon Drive system is exceptionally durable, clean and low-maintenance. The Banker uses a Gates CDN belt as standard; the higher-grade CDX belt is available as an upgrade.

Hydraulic disc brakes
Equipped with hydraulic disc brakes for reliable safety. Whether it's emergency braking or descending a slope, you can count on strong, controlled braking. We really like the Tektro brakes—they’re highly effective and extremely reliable. Shimano Deore XT hydraulic brakes are available as an optional upgrade.

Comfortable riding position
The Banker’s geometry is designed to balance efficiency and comfort (head tube angle 72.5°, seat tube angle 73–73.5°). The riding position is upright enough for relaxed everyday use, while still allowing you to pedal efficiently on longer or faster rides.

Carbon rim upgrade
Our aluminium rims offer excellent value, but carbon rims reduce rotational weight and make the bike feel lighter, sharper and more responsive. They also add a clean, premium finish to the overall build.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Booda Bike Banker a low-maintenance bike?
Yes, the Banker is built for minimal maintenance. It has a sealed Shimano Alfine internal gear hub, so there is no derailleur to adjust, and a Gates Carbon Drive belt instead of a chain, which needs no lubrication and does not rust. Hydraulic disc brakes and tubeless tyres with sealant reduce the routine work further. Like any bike, it still needs basic checks such as tyre pressure, brake pads and belt tension, and because it is built from standard components, any general bike shop can service it.
What makes the Banker durable?
The Banker combines a steel frame and a carbon fork with a sealed internal gear hub (grease-lubricated in the Alfine 8, oil-bath in the Alfine 11), a Gates belt that does not rust and lasts significantly longer than a traditional chain, and Schwalbe G-One Speed tubeless tyres whose sealant closes small punctures. It rides on 32-hole aluminium rims. Wider Schwalbe G-One Allround 622×40 tyres or the extra puncture-protected Schwalbe Marathon Efficiency 622×35 (with inner tubes) are available if you want even more tolerance for rough roads.
Which gear hub does the Banker use, and why?
The standard Banker has a Shimano Alfine 8 internal gear hub: 8 gears, a 307% gear range (ratios from 0.53 to 1.62), grease-lubricated and sealed, shifted from the handlebar. The Shimano Alfine 11 is available as an upgrade, with 11 gears, a 409% range (0.53 to 2.15) and oil-bath lubrication. An internal gear hub suits a belt drive because a belt cannot be moved across sprockets like a chain, and the hub keeps all the shifting mechanism sealed inside, with no derailleur to adjust.
Does the Banker have a chain?
No. The Banker is belt-driven: a Gates Carbon Drive CDN belt (113T) runs between a 50T front sprocket and a 22T rear sprocket. The belt is clean, quiet, needs no lubrication and does not rust. The higher-grade Gates CDX belt is available as an upgrade.
Which Banker frame size should I choose?
Size S is intended for riders of 155–170 cm, size M for 170–185 cm and size L for 185–200 cm. See the frame geometry table above for stack, reach and the other measurements.
Can I ride the Banker on gravel and rough roads?
The Banker is a trekking bike designed for asphalt, and its Schwalbe G-One Speed 622×35 tubeless tyres give it enough versatility for light gravel and rougher city roads. If you want more grip on loose surfaces, wider Schwalbe G-One Allround 622×40 tyres are available as an option.
How much does the Banker weigh?
Approximately 11 kg without accessories.
Can I add lights, a rear rack or mudguards to the Banker?
Yes. The Banker is available with Supernova dynamo lighting (Supernova E3 Pure 3 with a Shutter Precision hub dynamo) or battery lighting (Supernova Airstream 2), a Tubus Fly Classic rear rack, and an aluminium mudguard set designed for this model.
How can I pay?
You can pay via bank transfer or credit card.
Is there any financing option available?
Not yet, but we’re working on it! :)
What if I don’t like my bike?
If the bike isn’t what you expected, you can return it within 14 days. Please make sure to pack it carefully so it arrives back to us in good condition. You can find the return conditions in our Terms and Conditions.
How can I service my bike?
All our bikes are made using standard components, so they’re easy to maintain. This is a core principle across all our models. Thanks to this, any general bike shop should be able to service your Booda Bike.
What tools do I need to assemble my Booda Bike?
This depends on the model and configuration, but most maintenance and assembly can be done with these tools: 4 mm Allen key, 5 mm Allen key, 6 mm Allen key, and a T25 Torx key.
Do the prices include VAT?
Once you select your country, all prices will be shown with the applicable local VAT included.
Can I try the bike in person before buying?
Currently, we operate as an online-only store, but we’re working on making test rides possible in the near future.
What happens after I place my order?
Once we receive your order, we begin processing it. If all parts are in stock, our team will prepare the components in the order in which the orders were received. If something is out of stock, we’ll check the expected arrival or order it immediately. After that, your bike enters the assembly phase, which usually takes 1–2 business days. Once the bike is built, it undergoes a thorough quality check to ensure everything is assembled correctly. Then it gets packed and shipped straight to your door.
How can I order spare parts?
If you bought your bike through our website, just go to the “My Bicycle” tab in your profile — there you’ll find all components specific to your bike, so you’ll know exactly what you need and can easily reorder.
What if I want a customization that’s not available on the website?
The customization options on our website are based on what we’ve learned actually make sense over the years. There are very few modifications we are both able and willing to make that aren’t listed online — but feel free to email us at info@boodabike.com and we’ll be happy to discuss it.
