The Booda Bike cable protecting foam is black foam tubing for the inside of the frame: it protects the cables and makes the bike run more quietly.

Why use cable foam?

  • Quieter riding. It is made to be used in the frame, so the cables do not add noise to the ride.
  • Protects the cables. As the name says, the foam is a protective layer for cables running inside the frame.
  • Out of sight. Because it is used inside the frame, it does not change how the bike looks.
  • Part of the Booda Bike build. The parts lists of Booda Bike models name a cable foam in the frame section; this is the spare part.

Cables that go inside the frame

Booda Bike frames route cables inside the frame: the frame sets include cable drivers for the inner cable routing. The foam belongs in that inner run.

Where does the cable protecting foam go?

Is the cable foam the same as the cable manager?

No. The cable manager is a plastic spiral wrap that gathers brake, light and shifter cables; the foam is the protective tubing for the inside of the frame.

Do Booda Bike bicycles come with cable foam?

The parts lists of Booda Bike models name a cable foam in the frame section. This product is the replacement.
