Dinitrol 1000 Coating for internal surfaces 500 ml
Dinitrol 1000 is a polyethylene wax cavity protection that you spray into closed hollow spaces to protect them against corrosion where water can collect. Its penetration is outstanding, and the wax film stays flexible for a very long time.
Why Dinitrol 1000?
Outstanding penetration. The datasheet gives a penetration of more than 30 mm into a 50 µm gap, so the wax works its way into narrow gaps.
Highly water-repellent. A waxy film that repels water in the places where water collects: closed cavities, doors, rocker panels and frames.
Tested in salt spray. 500 hours in the salt spray test, with a recommended film thickness of 40 µm dry (100 µm wet).
Flexible in cold and heat. The wax stays flexible for a very long time, adheres at low temperatures down to −40 °C and has a heat resistance above 90 °C.
Easy to remove or repair. It can be removed with white spirit, and a damaged area can be repaired with Dinitrol 1000 itself.
How to use it
- Prepare the surface: it must be dry and clean, with loose corrosion removed.
- Work at an application temperature of 15 to 30 °C.
- Spray the product into the cavity. The recommended film thickness is 40 µm dry (100 µm wet).
- Let the film dry for about 2 hours.
Who is it for?
- Anyone protecting hollow spaces. Closed cavities and box sections where water can collect.
- Workshops and builders. Who want a wax-based protection for internal surfaces, and for parts that are stored or transported for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
What is Dinitrol 1000 used for?
It is a wax-based cavity protection for areas where water can collect, such as closed cavities, doors, rocker panels and frames in vehicle construction. Dinitrol also names it for spare parts that are stored or transported for a long time, for example by sea freight.
Can I use it inside a bicycle frame?
The datasheet describes Dinitrol 1000 for closed cavities in vehicles, trucks and buses and for stored or shipped spare parts; it does not mention bicycle frames. We offer the can for coating internal surfaces, so if you plan to use it on a frame, tell us your case and we will help.
How do I apply it, and at what temperature?
Spray it onto a dry, clean surface from which loose corrosion has been removed, at 15 to 30 °C. The recommended film thickness is 40 µm dry, and the film is dry after about 2 hours. The 500 ml can is sprayed straight from the can; the professional spray tools and pumps in the datasheet's equipment list are not needed for it.
How long can I keep it?
Store it at 15 to 30 °C. Unopened in the original packaging the shelf life is 2 years. Read the label and the safety data sheet before use; the flash point is 40 °C.
