The Gates Carbon Drive CDX Rear Sprocket – for Enviolo hubs (OLD) is the stainless steel rear sprocket of the CDX line for Enviolo (NuVinci) continuously variable hubs. It is available in 22 and 24 teeth, 11 mm pitch.
Why choose this rear sprocket?
Stainless steel. Wear-resistant aerospace stainless steel from the strongest Gates line.
Enviolo fit. Made for Enviolo (NuVinci) continuously variable hubs.
Smooth, stepless riding. A belt drive suits a continuously variable hub: no gears to click, no chain to oil.
CenterTrack, 11 mm pitch. Runs with CDX, CDC and CDN belts.

Which Enviolo hub does it fit?
This sprocket is made for Enviolo (NuVinci) hubs and is marked OLD by Gates, so confirm that it matches your hub before you order: tell us your hub model and its production year and we will check the match.

CDX: what that means
This sprocket belongs to the Gates CDX line: the strongest Gates line, rated at up to 4× the life of a chain and for hub motors and mid-drive e-bike motors up to 120 Nm. You can combine it with a CDX belt for the complete CDX setup; CDX, CDC and CDN are all CenterTrack parts with an 11 mm pitch, so the lines fit together and each part keeps its own rating.

Frequently asked questions
Which tooth count should I choose?
It depends on your gearing and the front sprocket, and the belt length follows from both. Gates offers a free Gearing and Center Distance Calculator in its Gates Sanity Check. Send us your frame, crank and hub and we will help you choose.
What does “OLD” mean in the name?
Gates marks this version OLD. We do not want you to guess: tell us your Enviolo hub model and we will confirm whether this is the right sprocket for it.
What do CDX, CDC and CDN mean?
They are Gates’ three belt-drive lines for bicycles: CDX (top of the range), CDC (mid-range) and CDN (entry level). Gates rates CDX for hub motors and mid-drive e-bike motors up to 120 Nm, CDC for mid-drive motors up to 75 Nm, and CDN for hub-motor e-bikes and casual riding.
When should I replace a sprocket?
Check your sprockets from time to time. Worn teeth cause noise, tooth jump and faster wear on the belt, so replace the sprocket when the teeth are worn. A sprocket in good condition has even, undamaged teeth.
Sizes and Gates part numbers
Find your sprocket by its tooth count. The Gates article number and type designation are marked on the sprocket, so you can match a replacement exactly.
