Gebla ShimKit A22 for Shimano Hydraulic Brifters
The Gebla ShimKit A22 converts Shimano hydraulic brake-shift levers made in 2022 or later (GRX, 105, Ultegra, Dura-Ace) so that they operate a Gebla Rohbox – and through it a Rohloff Speedhub 14-speed hub – while you keep Shimano's hydraulic braking and ergonomics on a drop bar.

Why the Gebla ShimKit?
Shimano levers for a Rohloff. The ShimKit removes the Shimano indexing and turns the lever into a simple pull lever for the Rohbox.
Keep your Shimano brakes. Hydraulic braking and the familiar hoods stay exactly as they are.
Light lever action. The new mechanism runs on roller bearings.
Fully reversible. Refit the original Shimano mechanism at any time and the lever works as before.
Cables included. Two 7x7 shift cables for the Rohbox setup come in the box.

How it works
The ShimKit replaces the original shift mechanism inside the Shimano lever body. Each lever then simply pulls a cable; the Gebla Rohbox on the hub turns these pulls into Rohloff gear changes – one lever shifts up, the other shifts down.

A22 or A21? Check your production year
The only difference is the thread of the axle in the left lever: up to 2021 Shimano used a left-hand thread, from 2022 both levers have a right-hand thread. Fold back the rubber hood and read the date code: "T" means 2021 (left-hand thread, ShimKit A21), "U" means 2022 (right-hand thread, ShimKit A22). The axle with a groove has the left-hand thread. We sell the A22 version.

Tool for the conversion
A special centre screw in the lever has to be removed. The Shimano tool TL-ST01 is no longer available new, so Gebla offers its CrownTool for this job; a snap-ring plier can also work with some skill.
Who is it for?
- Gravel and touring riders with a Rohloff hub. Who want Shimano hydraulic brifters on a drop bar.
- Rohbox users. Switching from SRAM or Campagnolo levers to Shimano.
- Workshops and frame builders. Building drop-bar Rohloff bikes.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Gebla Rohbox for the ShimKit?
Yes. The ShimKit turns the Shimano lever into a pull lever; the Gebla Rohbox on the hub turns these pulls into Rohloff gear changes.
My levers are from 2021 – does the A22 fit?
No. Levers with the date code "T" (2021 or earlier) have a left-hand thread on the left lever axle and need the ShimKit A21.
Can I go back to normal Shimano shifting?
Yes. Refit the original Shimano shift mechanism and the lever works as before.
Can you fit it for me?
Yes. Our workshop has completed the official Rohloff service training – contact us and we will advise you on the right setup.
BoodaBike grew out of Massive Bikes, a Budapest workshop that has been building belt-drive and hub-gear bikes since 2013. We are trained Rohloff service specialists and an official European distributor of Rohloff hubs and parts, and we build drop-bar Rohloff bikes with the Rohbox and ShimKit ourselves. GEBLA is the workshop of Georg Blaschke in Geldersheim, Germany; the name combines parts of his first and last name. He has been making bicycle parts since the late 1980s and building road, mountain, touring and city bike frames since 1992. The Rohbox and the ShimKit grew out of this hands-on frame-building experience.About Gebla
