Hexlox Key
The Hexlox Key is the coded stainless steel key that fits and removes every Hexlox insert carrying the same 3-digit key code – the one tool that opens your Hexlox-protected saddle, seatpost, stem and wheels, and nothing else.

Why you need the Hexlox Key
Personal 3-digit code. The key fits only Hexlox parts with the same code – inserts of all sizes, Hexnuts and axles.
Needed for every insert. Every Hexlox insert is fitted and removed with the key; without it the insert stays put – that is the whole point.
Purely mechanical. No batteries, no app – key and insert are a mechanical fit.
Pocket-size. Small enough for a saddle bag or keyring, so you can fix a flat or adjust the saddle anywhere.

One key for all your parts
Same code, same key. Parts ordered together in one order are shipped with the same key code, so one key opens all of them. Keep the key code card in a safe place – with the code, a matching replacement key can be ordered.
Already have Hexlox parts? Note the code from your key card and contact us before ordering, so we can help you get a matching key.
Who is it for?
- New Hexlox users. Buy the key together with your inserts so everything shares one code.
- Riders who want a spare. One key at home, one in the saddle bag.
- Riders who lost their key. A replacement must match your original code – contact us with it.

Frequently asked questions
Does one Hexlox Key fit all Hexlox products?
It fits every Hexlox part that carries the same 3-digit key code – inserts of all sizes, Hexnuts and axles.
I lost my key – what now?
A replacement key must match your original code. Keep your key code card and contact us with the code.
Can I use a normal Allen key instead?
No – that is the point. A normal Allen key only works again once the insert has been removed with the Hexlox Key.
Should I carry the key with me?
Yes, if you might need to work on the bike on the road, for example to fix a flat on a thru-axle or nutted wheel.
No lock in the world is 100% secure. Hexlox stops the quick, opportunistic theft of parts – for the frame itself, always use a good frame lock and a fixed anchor point, as Hexlox recommends too. Hexlox was founded in Berlin in 2016 with one idea: bike bolts are already highly specialised, so instead of replacing them, build a lock that fits into the bolts you already have. Designed and made in Germany, Hexlox is sold through more than 500 bike shops in over 67 countries – worry less, ride more.About Hexlox
