Microshift SB-N110 Mechanical Brake Set for Shimano Alfine 11 – Front and Rear
The Microshift SB-N110 brake set is a complete mechanical brake and shifting set for drop-bar bikes with a Shimano Alfine 11 gear hub: the microSHIFT SB-N110 shift and brake lever pair, a Tektro MD-C550 front caliper and a Tektro MD-C550 rear caliper, and the front flat-mount adapter. Shift and brake from the hoods, and keep the sealed, low-maintenance gear hub.
Why this set?
Made for the Alfine 11 cable pull. The SB-N110 connects directly to the hub's cable mechanism, with no inline adapter or converter. 
Shift and brake from the hoods. Change gear without taking your hands off the brakes. 
Everything for both wheels. Two levers and two calipers that belong together: the right lever shifts and works one brake, the left lever is brake only. 
Dual-piston, cable-actuated calipers. Both pads of the MD-C550 move, which keeps the rotor centred and gives even, controlled braking. 
No fluid, no bleeding. A cable and a few hand tools are enough for service, wherever you are. 
Front adapter included. The set contains the front flat-mount adapter for 140 or 160 mm rotors. A rear adapter is not part of the set.

Who is it for?
- Gravel, touring and commuting riders. A Shimano Alfine 11 hub and a preference for drop bars.
- Belt-drive riders. Gear hub plus drop bars is the classic low-maintenance all-weather setup.
- Builders of a new bike. Levers and calipers in one order, matched to the Alfine 11 cable pull.
- Touring riders. A mechanical brake needs no bleeding and no brake fluid, and a standard brake cable is available in almost every bike shop.

Frequently asked questions
What is in the set?
The SB-N110 lever pair, the MD-C550 front caliper with the front adapter, and the MD-C550 rear caliper. Rotors, cables, housings and a rear adapter are not included.
Is a rear adapter included?
No. Whether your frame needs a rear adapter depends on the rear rotor size you use. Ask us if you are unsure.
Can I use it with hydraulic brakes?
No. The levers and calipers are for cable-operated road brakes.
Alfine 8 or Alfine 11 version?
Choose the version that matches your hub, because the cable pull of the two hubs is different. For Alfine 8 hubs use the Microshift SB-N080 brake set.
