Why this road fork?

  • Tapered steerer. 28.6 mm (1 1/8") at the top and 39.8 mm at the base, the tapered format that Booda Bike's headset kit for tapered forks is made for.
  • 12 mm thru-axle. The dropouts are drawn for a 12 mm thru-axle and a 100 mm wide front hub.
  • 367 mm axle-to-crown. The drawing gives 367 mm (±1) from the axle to the crown seat, so you can compare it with your frame's fork length before you buy.
  • Steerer supplied long. 300 mm (±1) as drawn, which leaves room to cut it to the stack height your bike needs.

Drawn for a 12 mm thru-axle

Both dropouts take a 12 mm thru-axle with a 100 mm hub width, a front-wheel standard found on many disc-brake road and gravel bikes. Check that your front wheel matches before you order.

Who is it for?

  • Road-style builders. Who want a carbon fork with a tapered steerer and thru-axle for a frame designed around a 367 mm axle-to-crown height.
  • Riders replacing a fork. Who need a replacement that follows published dimensions instead of a guess: compare the numbers in the table with your current fork.
  • Frame and bike builders. Who spec a Booda Bike or Possible fork into their own builds and need the drawing values for steerer, axle and length.

Frequently asked questions

What steerer and axle standard does the Booda Bike Carbon Fork – Road use?

According to the Booda Bike drawing it has a tapered steerer (28.6 mm at the top, 39.8 mm at the base) that is 300 mm long as supplied, and 12 mm thru-axle dropouts for a 100 mm hub width. The axle-to-crown height is 367 mm (±1).

Which headset does this fork need?

A tapered headset. Booda Bike's headset kit for tapered forks matches the 28.6 mm to 39.8 mm steerer, and your frame's head tube must be built for that headset as well.

What should I check before ordering?

That your frame is designed for a 367 mm axle-to-crown tapered fork, that your front wheel has a 12 mm thru-axle and a 100 mm hub width, and that the steerer length suits your stack height. The brake mount standard and rotor size are not in our product data yet, so ask us before you order if they matter for your build.

About Booda Bike

Booda Bike is a bicycle brand from Budapest that builds low-maintenance, belt-driven bikes. It grew out of the MassiveBikes workshop, founded in 2013 to retrofit belt drives and build custom bikes, and its first models went on sale in October 2015. The Possible component range, launched alongside the bicycles, includes carbon forks like this one.
