Rohloff Cable Guide 0° with frame clamp
The Rohloff Cable Guide 0° with frame clamp (Art. 8260) routes the shifter cables of a SPEEDHUB 500/14 with internal gear mech along the chainstay – the solution for frames without a usable brake boss.

Why this cable guide?
Chainstay routing. Clamps directly to the left chainstay, so the cables do not need a brake boss to anchor them.
Correct cable line. Rohloff specifies a minimum of 240 mm between the hub axle and the cable guide, placed so the hub cables run as straight as possible.
Clean, precise shifting. A straight, well-anchored cable run is what keeps the twist shifter light and the 14 gears reachable.
Genuine replacement. The original Rohloff part for internal gear mech SPEEDHUBs – no improvised clamps or zip-tie solutions.

When do you need it?
On SPEEDHUBs with the internal gear mech, the shifter cables run from the twist shifter to a cable guide, and from there two hub cables with bayonet connectors run to the hub.
If your frame has no left brake boss – or you prefer to route the cables along the chainstay – this 0° guide with frame clamp is the version to use.
Who is it for?
- Owners of older SPEEDHUBs with internal gear mech. Rim-brake touring and trekking bikes often still run this setup.
- Riders rebuilding or re-routing a bike. Moving the cables from the top tube to the chainstay needs this guide.
- Anyone with a broken or lost guide. A direct replacement part.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use it on a SPEEDHUB with disc brake?
Disc brake SPEEDHUBs use the external gear mech with a cable box, so they do not need this guide. Rohloff notes the internal gear mech is not compatible with a rear disc brake.
0° or 13° – which guide do I need?
The 0° guide clamps to the chainstay; the 13° guide bolts to the left brake boss for routing along the top tube.
Do I need special tools?
Standard workshop tools are enough; set the cable tension with the cable adjusters so the twist shifter has about 2 mm play.
