The Rohloff E-14 Trigger (8801-04H) is the ergonomic trigger-style handlebar control for electronic Rohloff E-14 shifting: shift up with the thumb or the index finger, shift down with the thumb – a natural feel for riders coming from derailleur bikes.

Why the E-14 Trigger?

  • Thumb or finger. Shift to higher gears by pushing the upper button with your thumb or pulling it with your index finger; shift down with the thumb.
  • One press, one gear. A long press or pull activates multishift for quick changes across the range.
  • Compact on the bar. Mounts on the right side between brake lever and grip, on 22.2 mm handlebars.
  • Plug-and-play connection. The blue 4-pin plug connects to the 4-pin socket of the Rohloff cable.

Who is it for?

  • E-14 e-bike riders. The standard handlebar control that Rohloff supplies with E-14 SPEEDHUBs.
  • Riders used to trigger shifters. The movement feels familiar, but the gear is selected by the 14-speed hub.
  • Owners with a damaged trigger. A genuine like-for-like replacement after a fall.

Frequently asked questions

How do I mount the E-14 Trigger?

Slide it onto the right side of the handlebar with the cable pointing to the bar centre, tighten the two TX10 screws one after the other to 0.8 Nm, connect the blue 4-pin plug and do a function test. The brake lever must not collide with the trigger.

Is this the trigger for the E-14 Solo?

The E-14 Solo uses the newer E-14 Trigger Coax (8801-05). This trigger (8801-04 family) is for the cable-connected E-14 systems. Ask us if you are unsure.

What if only the clamp is broken?

Then you only need the replacement clamp with Torx screws (8196).
