The Rohloff Syringe 50 ml (8505) is the oil filling syringe for the SPEEDHUB 500/14 oil change – it injects the cleaning oil and fresh oil and draws the old oil back out.

Why the Rohloff syringe?

  • Made for the oil change. Used with the Rohloff filling tube in the drain screw hole to inject and extract oil.
  • Exact dosing. The Speedhub gets exactly 12.5 ml of fresh oil – easy to measure with the syringe.
  • Clean work. Old oil goes straight into the empty bottle, not on the wheel or brake.
  • Spare for your kit. Replace a used or cracked syringe and keep doing your own oil changes.

Oil change every 5,000 km or once a year

Rohloff asks for an oil change every 5,000 km or once a year. Tip from Rohloff: glue the filling tube onto the syringe so they cannot separate while filling.

Is oil included?

No. Oil is sold in the Rohloff oil change kit, which also contains a syringe, filling tube and drain screw.

Can I use any syringe?

You need one that connects tightly to the Rohloff filling tube (8502); this syringe is the matching part.
