The Rohloff Paper Gasket Kit for the axle ring (8710) seals the gear mech side of the SPEEDHUB 500/14 – needed every time the gear mech is removed, because Rohloff says the gaskets must not be reused.

Why new gaskets?

  • Keeps the oil in. The gaskets seal the axle ring area between hub and gear mech.
  • Single use. Rohloff instructs that used paper gaskets must not be refitted.
  • Exact fit. Holes line up with the bores of the axle ring.
  • Gaskets only. For jobs where you already have new axle plate screws.

Who is it for?

  • Riders removing the gear mech. For conversions, transfer box changes or cable work.
  • Workshops. Standard consumable for SPEEDHUB service.

Frequently asked questions

8710 or 8714?

8714 contains the gaskets plus new axle plate screws. Since Rohloff says the axle plate screws must not be reused either, 8714 is usually the right choice for a gear mech removal.

Does it fit XL/XXL hubs?

For XL/XXL hubs Rohloff lists a separate gasket kit (8714XL). Ask us with your hub serial number.
