Rohloff Tube with filling screw
The Rohloff Tube with filling screw (8502) screws into the oil drain hole of a SPEEDHUB 500/14 and connects the syringe for a clean, leak-free oil change.
Why this tube?
Leak-free connection. The threaded end seals in the drain screw hole while you inject or extract oil.
Speedhub-specific. Made for the oil drain hole of the SPEEDHUB 500/14.
Clean oil change. Cleaning oil in, old oil out, 12.5 ml fresh oil in – without mess on the wheel.
Spare part. Replace a worn or lost tube from your oil change kit.
How it is used
Remove the drain screw (3 mm Allen key), screw in the tube, attach the 50 ml syringe (8505) and inject the oil. Rohloff recommends gluing the tube to the syringe so they cannot come apart.
Protect your brake
Rohloff asks you to cover the brake disc and pads with a clean cloth during the oil change.

Frequently asked questions
Is the drain screw included?
No. The tube connects to the drain screw hole; a new drain screw is part of the Rohloff oil change kit.
How tight is the drain screw?
Rohloff specifies 0.5 Nm, and the screw must not sit deeper than flush with the hub shell.
