The Schwalbe Pro One 622×28 (700x28C, Evo, Super Race, V-Guard, ADDIX Race) is the best road bike tire Schwalbe has ever developed – a supple tubeless easy race tire that combines souplesse, speed and control in the classic 28 mm road width.

Schwalbe Pro One 622×28 – Schwalbe's top road tire.

Why the Pro One 28 mm?

  • Souplesse carcass. The Super Race carcass (127 EPI) makes the Pro One supple, smooth and fast.
  • ADDIX Race. Low rolling resistance combined with excellent grip.
  • V-Guard. A light, cut-resistant puncture protection layer under the tread.
  • Made for tubeless. As a Tubeless Easy (TLE) tire it is made specifically for tubeless use – that is where it performs best.

Built for speed and feel

Road racing, fast group rides, sportives and every ride where you want the most speed and feel from your road bike. 28 mm is today's standard road width: fast, comfortable and grippy.

Tubeless setup

The Pro One TLE must always be run with sealant. Schwalbe recommends at least 30 ml, preferably 60 ml of Doc Blue per tire, and riding at least 25 km straight after adding the sealant so the tire seals properly.

Pro One tires are clearly marked "TLE" or "TUBE ONLY" – this model is the TLE version.

Terrain scale from smooth asphalt to rough, loose ground, with a wheel marking where the Pro One is most at home

Where it fits in the Schwalbe range

The Pro One is our fastest road tire. For more mileage in training, look at the Schwalbe One; for gravel, the G-One family.

From left to right the scale runs from smooth asphalt through touring roads and firm tracks, fast gravel and mixed gravel to rough, loose ground; the wheel marks where the Pro One is most at home.

Who is it for?

  • Road racers and ambitious amateurs. A high-end tubeless road tire.
  • Riders who want race feel with real puncture protection. Supple and fast, with V-Guard under the tread.
  • Anyone upgrading a quality road bike. Schwalbe's top road tire for the bike you already have.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the Pro One TLE with an inner tube?

The TLE version is made for tubeless use with sealant; Schwalbe makes a separate "TUBE ONLY" version for inner tubes.

Pro One or One?

The Pro One is lighter, more supple and faster; the One is the durable all-round training tire with very good puncture protection at a lower price.

Is 28 mm or 32 mm better?

28 mm is the fast road standard; 32 mm adds comfort and grip on rough roads and longer rides, if your frame has the clearance.

What is the maximum pressure?

Schwalbe specifies a maximum of 6.5 bar (95 psi) for the 28 mm Pro One.

About Schwalbe

Schwalbe is the tire brand of Ralf Bohle GmbH, a family-owned German company from Reichshof, in the tire business since 1922. Since 1973 Schwalbe has developed and built its tires together with its long-term production partner Hung-A in Indonesia and Vietnam, and today Schwalbe tires are ridden in around 70 countries.

Almost all Schwalbe tires are made with fairly traded natural rubber (Fair Rubber), and Schwalbe runs its own tire recycling – the recycled carbon black in the ADDIX Green compound saves around 80% CO₂eq compared with conventional industrial carbon black.
