Shimano Deore XT Hydraulic Disc Brake Set – Front + Rear (BL-T8100 + BR-M8110)
The Shimano Deore XT hydraulic disc brake set – BL-T8100 levers with BR-M8110 flat-mount calipers, front and rear – stops a loaded touring bike as confidently as an empty one. We assemble it in our workshop and deliver it filled and bled, ready to bolt on.
Why the Deore XT set?
Confident stopping. Strong hydraulic braking, also with luggage on long descents. 
Same feel in any weather. Hydraulic brakes self-adjust as the pads wear and keep the same lever feel in rain, mud and cold. 
Tool-free reach adjust. The BL-T8100 lever is shaped for upright riding positions and adjusts to your hand without tools. 
Filled and bled. Assembled with SM-BH90 hoses and Shimano mineral oil, which is gentle on seals and skin. 
Flat mount. The 2-piston BR-M8110 caliper with ceramic pistons runs cool and quiet on flat-mount frames. 
Parts everywhere. Pads and rotors are standard Shimano parts you can find anywhere in the world.
What is in the set
1 – Deore XT BL-T8100 trekking brake lever; 2 – SM-BH90 hydraulic hose, filled with Shimano mineral oil; 3 – BR-M8110 2-piston flat-mount caliper with resin pads.
The set contains a front and a rear brake. Rotors are not included.
Lever for upright riding
Shimano calls the BL-T8100 a 3-finger lever: the longer blade gives good control from an upright trekking position. It has I-SPEC II mounting for a neat cockpit with a Shimano shifter.
These are the same brakes we fit to our own belt-drive bikes.

Frequently asked questions
Is the brake ready to install?
Yes. We fill and bleed the system in our workshop. If the hose has to be shortened, a short re-bleed is needed – we can cut it to your length before shipping.
Which rotor do I need?
A Center Lock or 6-bolt rotor in the size your frame and fork allow (140, 160 or 180 mm). Rotors are not included.
Can I order it with a BoodaBike?
Yes – it is available as an upgrade when you configure your bike.
