The Supernova Universal HBM for ø 35 mm handlebars is a hinged aluminium handlebar mount for Supernova front lights. Use it when the light should sit on the bar instead of the fork.

Why a handlebar mount?

  • Hinged clamp. The clamp opens for fitting and mounts on the left or right side of the stem.
  • ø 35 mm clamp. Made for 35 mm handlebars; the same mount is also made in ø 31.8 mm.
  • Anodized aluminium. A solid, matt black mount that holds the light securely.
  • Original Supernova part. For almost all Supernova front lights – only the special HBM versions and the Airstream battery light have their own holders.

Light on the bar, not on the fork

Not every fork has a mounting point for a light, and some riders prefer the light higher up, where it is less exposed to mud and spray.

Supernova states that the Universal HBM needs a stem width of at most 44 mm and a free clamping area of 12 mm on the bar. For the Airstream battery light, choose the Airstream HBM.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Universal HBM fit the Airstream 2?

No. Supernova lists the Airstream battery light as needing its own holder – use the Airstream HBM.

Which handlebar diameter do I need?

This version is for ø 35 mm bars. Supernova also makes the Universal HBM for ø 31.8 mm bars.

Can I mount it on either side of the stem?

Yes. The clamp opens for fitting and can be mounted on the left or on the right side of the stem.
