TRP Hywire HD-S8120E Hydraulic Brake-Shift Set – Front and Rear
The TRP Hywire HD-S8120E set is a complete pair of hydraulic brake-shift levers with flat-mount calipers for drop-bar bikes with a Pinion gearbox: the left lever with the front caliper, the right lever with the rear caliper, and the front flat-mount adapter. Brake and change gear without moving your hand.
Why the TRP Hywire set?
Shift button in the lever. Each lever has an integrated shift button with its own on/off switch, so the gearbox is operated from the brake lever. TRP describes Hywire as the first and only brake-shift solution made for the Pinion gearbox. 
Everything for both wheels. Two levers and two calipers, so you do not have to match parts yourself: the left lever works the front brake, the right lever the rear brake. 
Integrated master cylinder. The hydraulic system sits inside the lever body for a clean cockpit. 
Forged 2-piston calipers. One-piece forged calipers with heat-isolating hybrid pistons for consistent braking on long descents. 
Mineral oil, top-loading pads. A 5 mm hose and mineral oil; pads can be changed without removing the caliper. 
Front adapter included. The set contains the front flat-mount adapter. A rear adapter is not part of the set.

Frequently asked questions
What is in the set?
The left Hywire lever with the front caliper, the right Hywire lever with the rear caliper, and the front flat-mount adapter. Rotors and a rear adapter are not included.
Is a rear adapter included?
No. Whether your frame needs a rear adapter depends on the rear rotor size you use. Ask us if you are unsure.
Does the set come with the cable to the Pinion gearbox?
No. The levers come with a short sensor cable and TRP connector. The EWL 10 wire that runs to the Pinion gearbox is sold separately. TRP advises checking with Pinion that your gearbox system works with the Hywire before wiring.
Which brake fluid and rotors do I need?
Only TRP or Tektro mineral oil; DOT fluid damages the system. Use 1.8 mm thick rotors, which are not included.
