TRP EWL 10 Wire for Hywire / Pinion / Rohloff E-14 – 1500 mm
The TRP EWL 10 Wire is the original connector cable that links a TRP Hywire brake-shift lever to a Pinion gearbox or a Rohloff E-14, for setups with a shift controller on one side.

Why the EWL 10?
Made for this pairing. TRP designed the EWL 10 for the connection between TRP Hywire systems and Pinion gearboxes; it is also the wire we use for Rohloff E-14 shifting with the Hywire lever.
1500 mm length. Long enough to run from the cockpit along the frame to the gearbox or hub area.
Single-side controller. The simple choice when you shift with one lever only.
Original TRP part. No searching for a substitute cable.

From lever button to gearbox or hub
The TRP Hywire lever carries a shift button. The signal from the lever reaches the gearbox, or the Rohloff E-14, through this cable. TRP makes the EWL 10 for systems where only one lever (left or right) is used to shift.
Use it to wire a new drop-bar Pinion or Rohloff E-14 bike with one Hywire shift lever, to replace a damaged or too short cable on an existing Hywire setup, or to re-route the cable after a frame or cockpit change.
Who is it for?
- Rohloff E-14 and Pinion riders on drop bars. Who shift with a TRP Hywire lever and need the connection cable.
- Owners of a Hywire lever without the connection cable. The Hywire lever unit comes with a short sensor cable; the EWL 10 is the separate link to the shifting system.
- Workshops and home builders. Who want the original TRP cable.

Frequently asked questions
Does the EWL 10 work with the Rohloff E-14?
Yes, it is the wire we use with the TRP Hywire lever for Rohloff E-14 electronic shifting. Rohloff names the TRP Hywire brifter as the drop-bar shifter of the E-14 Solo.
Do I need the EWL 10 or the EWY 10?
The EWL 10 is for one shift lever. If both Hywire levers should shift the gearbox, TRP's EWY 10 Y Wire connects the left and right levers for a dual-control setup.
Does it work with the TRP Hywave?
TRP describes the EWL 10 for Hywire and Pinion only. The Hywave connects to 3X3 or Bosch systems through its own bar-end units.
Is it included with the Hywire lever?
No. The Hywire lever comes with a short sensor cable and TRP connector; the EWL 10 is a separate product.
About TRP
TRP (Tektro Racing Products) was founded in 2006 as the high-end brand of Tektro, a Taiwanese brake maker established in 1986.
With the Hywire lever and its connector cables, TRP offers an integrated brake-shift solution for drop-bar bikes with a Pinion gearbox, and the Hywire is also the drop-bar shifter of the Rohloff E-14.
