The FSA MegaExo Plastic Crank Spacer for 24 mm spindles is the thin spacer used together with the wave spring washer on the non-drive side of FSA MegaExo cranks – it sets the correct spacing between the bottom bracket cup and the left arm so the crank sits without play.

FSA MegaExo plastic crank spacer – 24 mm.

Why the right spacer matters

  • Correct spacing. Together with the wave washer it fills the gap between the cup and the left crank arm.
  • No clicking. A missing or worn spacer is a common cause of a clicking crank.
  • Small part, quick fix. A cheap spare that saves a trip to the shop.
  • Original FSA part. Made for the MegaExo 24 mm system.

Where does it go?

The plastic spacer is part 3 – on the non-drive side of the spindle, next to the wave spring washer (2).

1 – bottom bracket (two bearing cups threaded into the frame), 2 – wave spring washer, 3 – plastic spacer, 4 – left crank arm, 5 – crank bolt, 6 – drive-side crank arm with the 24 mm spindle, 7 – chainring or belt sprocket (direct mount).

When do you need it?

  • The original spacer is gone. Lost, cracked or worn thin.
  • You service crank and bottom bracket. And want fresh small parts.
  • You run a workshop. A spare on the shelf for FSA 24 mm cranks.

About FSA

FSA – Full Speed Ahead – has made bicycle components since 1993 and moved into cranksets and chainrings in 1995. FSA introduced the compact road crankset in 2004, and its MegaExo system with external bearings and a 24 mm spindle is one of the most widely used crank and bottom bracket platforms on mountain, gravel, trekking and urban bikes. FSA parts are fitted as original equipment by many bike brands, including our own Booda Bike belt-drive bikes.
