Frequently asked questions

Does the microSHIFT mushroom head brake cable fit flat bar brake levers?

Flat bar levers usually take a barrel (pear) head cable. This cable has a mushroom head for drop bar levers.

Should I replace the housing too?

If the housing is kinked, cracked or the cable feels rough when you pull it, replace the housing together with the inner cable for the best brake feel.

Can I use it as a shift cable?

No. microSHIFT drop bar gear hub shifters need the cylinder head shift cable, which is available separately.
