Rohloff A12 PM Set Axle-plate A12 PM + PM Bone
The Rohloff A12 PM Set (8564) combines the A12 PM axle plate (8558) with the PM Bone (8555): it anchors the torque of a thru-axle Speedhub 500/14 to a Postmount brake mount, with no torque arm on the frame.

Why the A12 PM set?
Uses the Postmount. The PM Bone bolts into the threaded holes of the Postmount brake mount and takes the hub torque from the axle plate.
Both parts in one box. The PM axle plate always needs a PM Bone – the set gives you both.
For 142/148/177 mm. The A12 PM axle plate fits thru-axle Speedhubs with 142, 148 or 177 mm spacing.
Clean frame. No external torque arm or clamp on the chainstay.
Who is it for?
- Thru-axle frames with Postmount. Gravel, touring and trekking frames with a direct PM brake mount.
- Owners converting to Postmount anchoring. Switching an A12 hub from OEM2 to a PM frame.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the rotor have to be one size larger?
The PM Bone sits between the brake mount and the caliper, so the caliper moves outwards. Rohloff lists 160 mm PM with a 180 mm rotor and 180 mm PM with a 203 mm rotor.
Can I use it on a tandem or cargo bike?
No. Rohloff states that neither the PM Bone nor the PM axle plate is authorised or tested for tandem or cargo use.
Does it work with an IS brake mount?
Yes, with an IS/PM adapter plus the PM Bone: 160 mm IS with a 160 mm adapter needs a 180 mm rotor, 180 mm IS with a 180 mm adapter a 203 mm rotor.
About Rohloff
Rohloff AG is a German manufacturer from the Kassel area, best known for the Speedhub 500/14 – a sealed 14-speed gear hub with evenly spaced gears. Rohloff sells every spare part as an individual item, so a Speedhub can be serviced and adapted to a new frame instead of being replaced.
BoodaBike (Massive Bikes, Budapest) is an official Rohloff service centre, trained by Rohloff, and an official European distributor of Rohloff hubs and parts. We build Speedhub bikes with Gates belt drive ourselves – if you are unsure which part fits your hub or frame, ask us before ordering.
