Rohloff A12 Reduction Sleeve – right-hand, M12x1.5 Threaded
The Rohloff A12 Reduction Sleeve, right-hand, M12x1.5 threaded (8599) screws into the sprocket-side dropout of DT Swiss / Maxle thru-axle frames with M12x1.5 thread and takes the 7 mm axle bolt of the Speedhub 500/14 A12.

Why the original sleeve?
12 mm to 7 mm. A12 reduction sleeves reduce the 12 mm thru-axle opening to 7 mm for the M7x1 Rohloff axle bolts.
Screws into the dropout. The threaded sleeve screws into the M12x1.5 thread of the frame and is tightened with a 13 mm spanner to 10 Nm.
Measured, not guessed. Rohloff states that 12 mm thru-axle frames must be measured with the A12 dropout measurement kit (Art. 8600) to work out which reduction sleeves and spacers are needed.

Thread pitch matters
Rohloff makes three threaded right-hand sleeves: M12x1 (8598), M12x1.5 (8599) and M12x1.75 (8593). Only the pitch that matches the frame thread can be used.
Who is it for?
- DT Swiss / Maxle frames with M12x1.5 thread. The sprocket-side sleeve for an A12 Speedhub.
- Riders replacing a damaged sleeve. An exact original part with the correct pitch.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my frame is M12x1.5 or M12x1.75?
Both pitches are used with DT Swiss / Maxle axles. Rohloff advises comparing your existing thru axle with the sleeves of the A12 test set – or tell us the frame and axle you have.
What torque does it need?
10 Nm, with a 13 mm spanner.
About Rohloff
Rohloff AG is a German manufacturer from the Kassel area, best known for the Speedhub 500/14 – a sealed 14-speed gear hub with evenly spaced gears. Rohloff sells every spare part as an individual item, so a Speedhub can be serviced and adapted to a new frame instead of being replaced.
BoodaBike (Massive Bikes, Budapest) is an official Rohloff service centre, trained by Rohloff, and an official European distributor of Rohloff hubs and parts. We build Speedhub bikes with Gates belt drive ourselves – if you are unsure which part fits your hub or frame, ask us before ordering.
