Rohloff Axle-plate A12 PM – 142/148/177 mm
The Rohloff Axle-plate A12 PM (8558) anchors the torque of a thru-axle Speedhub 500/14 A12 through a PM Bone to the Postmount brake mount – for 142, 148 and 177 mm frames.

Why the A12 PM axle plate?
Postmount anchoring. Takes the hub torque to a PM Bone bolted into the Postmount threads – no torque arm on the frame.
Three widths. Fits A12 Speedhubs with 142, 148 or 177 mm O.L.D.
Simple mounting. Five TX20 screws at 3 Nm hold it on the hub.
Defined limits. Rohloff publishes clear rotor and gap rules for the PM system.

Needs a PM Bone
The PM axle plate is always used with a PM Bone (8555). If you need both, the A12 PM Set (8564) contains the plate and the bone together.
Who is it for?
- Thru-axle frames with Postmount. Switch your A12 hub to Postmount anchoring.
- Owners who already have a PM Bone. Buy only the axle plate.

Frequently asked questions
Does it fit a 197 mm fatbike A12 hub?
No. It covers 142, 148 and 177 mm; 197 mm hubs use an A12 OEM2 197 plate with a Fatbone.
Should I replace the axle plate screws?
Rohloff recommends new axle plate screws when changing the plate: 8236, or 8236XL for XL/XXL hubs.
About Rohloff
Rohloff AG is a German manufacturer from the Kassel area, best known for the Speedhub 500/14 – a sealed 14-speed gear hub with evenly spaced gears. Rohloff sells every spare part as an individual item, so a Speedhub can be serviced and adapted to a new frame instead of being replaced.
BoodaBike (Massive Bikes, Budapest) is an official Rohloff service centre, trained by Rohloff, and an official European distributor of Rohloff hubs and parts. We build Speedhub bikes with Gates belt drive ourselves – if you are unsure which part fits your hub or frame, ask us before ordering.
