Rohloff Chain tensioner -10 mm for XXL 190/197 mm
The Rohloff Chain Tensioner -10 mm (Art. 8250-10) is the offset version of the Rohloff chain tensioner for fatbikes with 190/197 mm spacing, for non-SPEEDHUB gear hubs and for singlespeed bikes.

Why the -10 mm version?
10 mm offset. Brings the jockey wheels in line with the chainline of wide frames and other drivetrains where the standard tensioner does not line up.
10-link capacity. The same tensioning capacity as the standard Rohloff tensioner – enough for long-travel suspension.
Swings back. The tensioner swings back when the wheel is pulled out of the dropouts.
Derailleur hanger mount. Mounts to the frame’s standard derailleur hanger; spacers give lateral adjustment.

Where it belongs
Rohloff lists the -10 version for fatbike frames with 190/197 mm spacing, for alternative (non-SPEEDHUB) gear hubs and for singlespeed bicycles.
It shares the arm 8249 with the standard tensioner.
Who is it for?
- Fatbike riders with a SPEEDHUB. 190 and 197 mm frames.
- Singlespeed riders. A robust tensioner for frames with vertical dropouts.
- Riders with other gear hubs. Rohloff names non-SPEEDHUB hubs as a use case for this version.

Rohloff’s 2026 OEM price list names the -10 version for XXL 190/197 mm hubs. Rohloff’s B2B shop also lists it for 148 mm Boost SPEEDHUBs in frames with a Shimano-compatible Direct Mount derailleur hanger. Send us your frame spacing, hanger type and chainline and we will confirm the right version.
-10 or -15?
Both are offset versions; the right one depends on your chainline. Ask us if you are unsure.
Can I use it with a 3/32" chain?
Yes – Rohloff tensioners suit 1/2" × 3/32" and 1/2" × 11/128" chains.
About Rohloff
Rohloff AG from Fuldatal near Kassel, Germany, builds the SPEEDHUB 500/14: a 14-speed gear hub with evenly spaced gears, a 526% gear range and a sealed oil bath. As robust as the hub is, Rohloff sells small wear and replacement parts individually, so a SPEEDHUB is repaired, not replaced.
BoodaBike (Massive Bikes, Budapest) is an official Rohloff service centre, trained by Rohloff, and an official European distributor of Rohloff hubs and parts. We sell genuine Rohloff parts and we are happy to help you identify the right one for your hub version.
