Rohloff Chain Tensioner mounting bolt
The Rohloff Chain Tensioner mounting bolt (Art. 8253) is the standard bolt that fixes the Rohloff chain tensioner to the frame’s derailleur hanger.

Why a genuine bolt?
Correct fit. Thread and length match the Rohloff tensioner and a standard derailleur hanger.
Lost or damaged? Replace a stripped or lost bolt for very little money.
Standard length. Thinner dropouts (under 7 mm) with a 13T or splined sprocket need the long bolt 8255 instead.
Holds the pivot. The tensioner swings back on wheel removal – a sound bolt keeps it secure.
Who is it for?
- Riders with a lost bolt. Common after wheel and tensioner removal.
- Home mechanics. A spare in the toolbox.
- Workshops. Standard SPEEDHUB service part.
