Rohloff E-14 2.0 Shifter Unit, E-Bike
The Rohloff E-14 2.0 Shifter Unit (Art. 8803-04) is the electromechanical unit that physically shifts the SPEEDHUB 500/14 on e-bikes with the Bosch Smart System (BES3) – push a button, and the hub shifts.
Why the E-14 2.0 Shifter Unit?
Fast, synchronised shifts. Rohloff quotes a 180 ms shift; the motor reduces its torque at the moment of the shift via CAN-Bus.
Multishift and auto-downshift. Hold the button for 3-gear steps; at a stop the hub returns to a preset start gear (4 to 9 with Bosch Smart System).
App updates. The Rohloff E-14 2.0 app (Android, iOS) sets shift direction, multishift and runs calibration, firmware updates and diagnostics.
Built for e-bike torque. The SPEEDHUB is authorised for the Bosch Performance Update 2.0 with 120 Nm (Rohloff OEM handout 2026).

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with the older Bosch system (BES2) or Panasonic?
The first-generation E-14 for Bosch BES2 and Panasonic FIT1 uses the DC/DC-CAN Converter 8802 and its own shifter unit. This 2.0 unit is for the Bosch Smart System.
Is it also used in the E-14 Solo?
Rohloff lists the Shifter Unit 2.0 (8803-04) with E-14 Solo software in the upcoming E-14 Solo system. Ask us which software your system needs.
Can I wash my e-bike with a pressure washer?
No. Rohloff prohibits high-pressure cleaning of E-14 equipped bikes.
