Rohloff Hub cables for Internal gear mech incl. tubes and zip-ties
The Rohloff Hub Cables for internal gear mech (8271), with tubes and zip ties, are the repair set for older SPEEDHUB 500/14 hubs with the one-piece axle ring and pressed-in cable guides (up to serial no. 25300).
Why this repair set?
Made for early hubs. On hubs with the one-piece axle ring, the axle ring and cable pulley have to come off to change the cables – this set is meant for that job. 
Small parts included. Supplied with tubes and zip ties; Rohloff’s parts list also includes the axle-ring gasket kit (8714). 
Restores clean shifting. New 0.9 mm Rohloff special shift cables bring back precise gear steps. 
Keeps an older hub running. A SPEEDHUB built before 2003 can stay in service for many more kilometres.

Frequently asked questions
8271 or 8573 – which do I need?
Count the axle plate screws. 6 screws = one-piece axle ring, use this set (8271). 5 screws = quick-change axle ring, use the Easy Set (8573).
Is this a job for a workshop?
On one-piece axle rings the axle ring with cable pulley has to be removed, which is more involved than on later hubs. Our Rohloff-trained workshop can do it if you prefer.
