Rohloff Monkey Bone -10 for 180 mm rotors – IS to PM adapter
The Rohloff Monkey Bone -10 for 180 mm rotors (8554-10) anchors the torque of an XXL SPEEDHUB (CC 190 mm / A12 197 mm) through an IS2000 brake mount and adapts it to a post-mount caliper with a 180 mm rotor – more braking power for loaded fat bikes.

Why the Monkey Bone -10 180?
Bigger rotor. A 180 mm rotor gives more stopping power and heat capacity than a 160 mm rotor – welcome on heavy fat bikes.
No separate torque arm. The OEM2 axle plate engages directly in the Monkey Bone.
Made for 190/197 mm hubs. The -10 offset matches the XXL hub versions.
Fat bike bolts included. Two M6x30 bolts are supplied.

Check the cable routing
After fitting, check the routing of the shift cables. If needed, the OEM2 axle plate position can be changed with a TX20 key (axle plate screws 3 Nm) for a route with as few bends as possible.
Who is it for?
- Fat bike bikepackers. Loaded bikes, long descents, winter riding.
- Frame builders and workshops. For XXL SPEEDHUB builds on frames with IS2000 brake mounts.

Frequently asked questions
What tools do I need?
A 5 mm Allen key, a TX20 key and a torque wrench, according to Rohloff.
Can I use it on a tandem?
Rohloff does not release XXL SPEEDHUB versions for tandem use.
My frame has a post-mount brake mount, not IS – what then?
Then you need a FAT Bone: 8556 for a 160 mm post mount (180 mm rotor) or 8557 for a 180 mm post mount (203 mm rotor).
