Frequently asked questions
Do I also need cleaning oil?
Yes. A Rohloff oil change uses 25 ml cleaning oil to flush the hub before the fresh gear oil goes in. Cleaning oil is sold separately – ask us for the matching pack.
How often should I change the oil?
At least once a year or every 5,000 km, according to Rohloff.
Can I mix it with other oils?
Only Rohloff oils (gear oil and cleaning oil) may be used in the SPEEDHUB – other lubricants or additives can damage plastic parts inside the hub.
