Rohloff Shifter cables 1.1 mm – 2.25 m
Rohloff Shifter cables 1.1 mm – 2.25 m (8265) are the replacement inner cables for the SPEEDHUB 500/14 twist shifter, sold as a pair – the standard length for solo bikes.
Why genuine Rohloff cables?
Correct nipple. Rohloff inner cables have a cylindrical nipple (4 × 5 mm) that fits the twist shifter pulley. 
Stainless steel. 1.1 mm stainless cable, designed to run dry in the nylon-lined Rohloff housing. 
Pair for both directions. The SPEEDHUB uses two cables – one for shifting up, one for shifting down. You get both.
Who is it for?
- Riders whose cable frayed or broke. Replace only the inner cables if the housings are fine.
- Tourers. A light spare pair for long trips.

Frequently asked questions
Is 2.25 m long enough?
For most solo bikes, yes. For long frames, recumbents or long cable routes choose 8266 with 3.05 m.
Can I use standard 1.2 mm gear cables?
We do not recommend it: the nipple shape and diameter must match the Rohloff twist shifter.
