Shimano Alfine 11 SL-S700 Rapidfire Plus Shifter – right, with cable
The Shimano Alfine SL-S700 is the 11-speed Rapidfire Plus trigger shifter made for the Alfine 11 hub. Two thumb triggers, a clear gear display and multi-shift – with the inner cable, housing and fixing bolt unit in the box.

Why the SL-S700?
Multi-shift. Shift up several gears with one long push, and drop up to three gears at once – handy when you stop at a junction in a high gear.
2-way release. Shift down with either your thumb or your index finger.
Gear indicator. See at a glance which of the eleven gears you are in.
Cable included. Inner cable with housing (2100 mm) and the CJ-S700 cable fixing bolt unit – install it in one go.

Made for the Alfine 11 only
The SL-S700 pulls exactly the cable steps the 11-speed hub needs. It works with the SG-S700 and SG-S7001-11 hubs – not with the Alfine 8, which needs the SL-S7000-8.
Use it to replace a worn shifter, one damaged in a fall, or to complete an Alfine 11 build.
Who is it for?
- Alfine 11 owners. Whose shifter is worn, broken or was lost in a crash.
- Builders. Completing an Alfine 11 drivetrain on a flat handlebar.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with the Alfine 8?

Is the cable included?
Yes – inner cable with housing and the fixing bolt unit for the hub's cassette joint.
Can I use it on a drop handlebar?
No, it clamps to a 22.2 mm flat handlebar. For drop bars we offer the Microshift SB-N110 shifter set for Alfine 11.
About Shimano
Shimano was founded in 1921 in Sakai, Japan, as a one-man workshop making freewheels. Today it is the world's largest maker of bicycle components, and its standards – Center Lock rotors, Hollowtech cranks, Rapidfire shifters, mineral-oil hydraulic brakes – are what most bikes are built around.
At BoodaBike we use Shimano internal gear hubs and hydraulic brakes on our own belt-drive bikes, and we stock the service parts we use in our own workshop.
