Shimano Alfine 11 Gear Hub Oil (SG-S700) – 50 ml
Shimano SG-S700 oil (Y13098481) is the special oil Shimano specifies for the Alfine 11 hub, which runs its gears in an oil bath. One 50 ml bottle is exactly one oil change.

Why genuine SG-S700 oil?
Made for the hub. The Alfine 11's seals and clutches are designed for this oil.
One bottle, one change. 50 ml is the amount for one Alfine 11 oil change – no leftovers to store.
Smooth shifting. Fresh oil keeps the planetary gears running smoothly and shifting lightly.
Works with TL-S703. Use it with the Shimano TL-S703 oil change kit for a clean job.

When to change it
Shimano specifies the first oil change after 1,000 km, then every 5,000 km or every two years – whichever comes first.
Who is it for?
- Alfine 11 owners. Who change the oil themselves.
- Workshops. Servicing Alfine 11 hubs.

What else do I need?
The TL-S703 oil change kit, which drains the old oil and fills the new one through the hub's oil port.
About Shimano
Shimano was founded in 1921 in Sakai, Japan, as a one-man workshop making freewheels. Today it is the world's largest maker of bicycle components, and its standards – Center Lock rotors, Hollowtech cranks, Rapidfire shifters, mineral-oil hydraulic brakes – are what most bikes are built around.
At BoodaBike we use Shimano internal gear hubs and hydraulic brakes on our own belt-drive bikes, and we stock the service parts we use in our own workshop.
