The Tektro TR-35 Centerlock Disc Rotor is a 1.8 mm thick centerlock brake rotor in 140 mm or 160 mm diameter, for road, gravel and touring bikes with centerlock hubs and 1.8 mm disc brake calipers.

Why the TR-35?

  • Centerlock fitting. Quick, accurate mounting on centerlock hubs with a single lockring – no fiddling with six small bolts.
  • Stainless steel braking surface. Resists corrosion in wet and winter riding.
  • Steel inner piece. A solid carrier for the splined hub interface.
  • 1.8 mm thickness. The thickness many current road, gravel and touring calipers are designed for.
  • 140 or 160 mm. The common sizes; a larger rotor gives more leverage at the wheel.

140 mm

A direct replacement for a rotor that is worn thin or bent, at the standard 1.8 mm thickness.

160 mm

Want more braking on a loaded touring or gravel bike? Move up to the 160 mm rotor, together with the matching caliper adapter.

Centerlock or six-bolt?

1 – centerlock mount (splined hub interface, held by a lockring), 2 – six-bolt mount.

The TR-35 is a centerlock rotor (1): it slides onto the hub splines and is held by one lockring.

Who is it for?

  • Riders with a worn or bent rotor. Replace it directly on a centerlock hub in the common 140 and 160 mm sizes.
  • New brake builds. Complete a build with mechanical or hydraulic calipers that use 1.8 mm rotors.
  • Tektro brake owners. Tektro lists the TR-35 as the centerlock rotor for its HD-R3020/HD-R3021 hydraulic system, and its 1.8 mm thickness also matches the MD-C550 mechanical caliper.
  • Tourers. Keep a spare rotor for touring and long trips.

The rotor size must match the caliper position. On flat-mount bikes this is set by the adapter: front adapter for 140 or 160 mm, rear adapter for 160 mm.

Frequently asked questions

Will the Tektro TR-35 fit a six-bolt hub?

No. The TR-35 is a centerlock rotor and is made for centerlock hubs. For six-bolt hubs, choose a six-bolt rotor.

140 mm or 160 mm – which rotor do I need?

Use the size your frame, fork and caliper adapter are set up for. If you change size, change the adapter (or its position) as well, otherwise the pads will not sit on the braking surface correctly.

When should I replace my rotor?

When it is worn below the minimum thickness given by your brake or rotor manufacturer, or when it is bent or damaged. New rotors are best combined with new pads.
