The 3X3 SHIFT E.TR.CMD is the wireless Bluetooth trigger of the 3X3 E-Shift system. It has two thumb shifters, one for upshift and one for downshift, and comes with its mounting clamp. You press it on the handlebar, and the actuator on a 3X3 NINE hub changes the gear, with no shift cable.

Why choose the 3X3 E.TR.CMD?

  • Wireless via Bluetooth. The trigger talks to the actuator by Bluetooth, so there is no shift cable to route along the frame.
  • Two thumb shifters. One lever shifts up and the other shifts down, in a design 3X3 describes as an E-Trigger with a classic MTB shift feel.
  • Mounting clamp included. The trigger is delivered with the clamp that holds it on the handlebar.
  • Shifting under load. According to 3X3, the E-Shift system reduces torque while shifting, so you can change gear under load.

The trigger sends, the actuator shifts

The E.TR.CMD only sends the shift command. The gear is changed by the 3X3 SHIFT E9.XP actuator on the right side of the 3X3 NINE hub. Both parts are sold separately in our shop. Please refer to the 3X3 technical manual for system integration and compatibility.

Frequently asked questions

Does the 3X3 E.TR.CMD work on its own?

No. It is the remote trigger of the 3X3 E-Shift system. To change gears you also need the 3X3 SHIFT E9.XP actuator on a 3X3 NINE hub. Please refer to the 3X3 technical manual for system integration and compatibility.

Is the battery included?

No. The trigger uses a CR2032 battery, which is not included.

Is this the trigger with the 3X3 logo?

Yes. The E.TR.CMD is the 3X3 trigger with the CMD logo on its housing. 3X3 also lists a second trigger, the E.TR.ADJ, and a TRP Hywave version for drop-bar bikes; this page is only for the E.TR.CMD.

How is it fitted to the handlebar?

With the mounting clamp that is delivered with the trigger.
