The TRP Centerlock Disc Rotor 160 mm × 1.8 mm is a two-piece TRP brake rotor with an alloy spider for centerlock hubs – no rotor bolts, quick to fit, and matched to TRP and Tektro 1.8 mm calipers on road, gravel and touring bikes.

TRP centerlock rotor – 160 mm × 1.8 mm, two-piece with alloy spider.

Why this TRP centerlock rotor?

  • Centerlock mount. The rotor slides onto the hub's splines and is held by one lockring, so there are no six small bolts to tighten evenly.
  • Two-piece construction. The braking ring is carried on a separate alloy spider, a design used on performance rotors.
  • 1.8 mm braking surface. The thickness TRP and Tektro specify for their road, gravel and many flat-bar calipers.
  • 160 mm diameter. A balanced size for road, gravel and touring bikes.

What it is for

Fitting a 160 mm rotor to a wheel with a centerlock hub, replacing a worn, bent or contaminated rotor on a bike with 1.8 mm-rotor brakes, or building a new wheel where quick rotor fitting and removal matter.

Rotor mounts: 1 – centerlock, 2 – six-bolt. This rotor uses the centerlock mount (1).

Who is it for?

  • Riders with centerlock hubs. A TRP rotor in the common 160 mm size.
  • Owners of TRP or Tektro brakes made for 1.8 mm rotors. Such as TRP Hywire, Hylex or Hywave.
  • Touring riders and commuters. Who change wheels or travel with the bike: a centerlock rotor comes off and goes back on in a minute with one tool.
  • Riders whose brake has started to squeal or lose bite. After many kilometres, a new rotor with new pads brings the brake back.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fit this TRP centerlock rotor to a 6-bolt hub?

Not directly. Centerlock rotors need a centerlock hub. For a 6-bolt hub, choose a 6-bolt rotor.

Which lockring do I need?

That depends on your hub and axle: thru-axle hubs usually take an internal-spline lockring, quick-release hubs an external-spline one. If your wheel already has a centerlock rotor, you can reuse its lockring.

Does it work with my brake?

It fits calipers specified for 1.8 mm thick rotors, adjusted or adapted for a 160 mm rotor. If you are unsure, send us your brake model and we will check it.
