Microshift SB-N110 Drop Bar Shifter Set for Shimano Alfine 11
The microSHIFT SB-N110 is an integrated drop bar shift and brake lever set made specifically for the Shimano Alfine 11 internal gear hub. Shift and brake from the hoods like on a road or gravel bike, while keeping the sealed, low-maintenance gear hub.

How the system fits together
- Left lever: brake lever only, no shifting function, for a clean 1× cockpit.
- Right lever: shifting plus the second brake.
- The shift cable runs from the right lever to the Shimano Alfine 11 hub.
- The left lever pulls one mechanical (cable-operated) road brake.
- The right lever pulls the other mechanical road brake.

What problem does it solve?
Shimano's mechanical Alfine 11 shifters are made for flat handlebars. Riders who want drop bars on a gear hub bike usually end up with bar-end shifters, a flat-bar shifter clamped somewhere on the bar, or extra cable-pull converters – all of which mean taking your hands off the brakes to change gear. The SB-N110 removes that compromise: shifting happens exactly where your hands already are.
Who is it for?
- Gravel, touring and commuting riders. An Alfine 11 hub and a preference for drop bars.
- Flat-bar conversions. Owners converting an Alfine 11 bike to a drop bar cockpit.
- Belt drive riders. Gear hub plus drop bars is the classic low-maintenance all-weather setup.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a cable-pull adapter for the Alfine 11 with the SB-N110?
No. The SB-N110 is designed for the Alfine 11 cable pull, so it connects directly to the hub's cable mechanism.
Can I use it with hydraulic disc brakes?
No. The brake levers are for cable-operated road brakes. If your frame has disc mounts, use a mechanical or a cable-actuated hydraulic disc caliper with road lever pull.
Is it sold as a pair?
Yes – the right shift/brake lever and the left brake lever come together as a set.
