Why this rotor?

  • Rohloff mount. Four holes around the centre bore match the special disc mount of Rohloff's disc-brake hubs.
  • Required by the hub. Rohloff states that, because of its special 4-hole mount, a SPEEDHUB 500/14 needs special brake discs to run with disc brakes.
  • Bolts come with the hub. Every Rohloff disc-brake (DB) hub version is delivered with four rotor mounting bolts, so the rotor is the part you add.
  • 160 mm, marked on the disc. The disc carries the number 160, its diameter in millimetres; check that your caliper mount suits this size.

The four-hole mount

The rotor bolts to the Rohloff hub through four holes around the centre, a layout that is neither Centerlock nor six-bolt. Rohloff supplies four rotor mounting bolts with every disc-brake hub version (art. 8214) and sells them separately too; we list them as Rohloff Disc rotor mounting bolts – 4 units.

Who is it for?

  • Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 owners with disc brakes. Who need a 160 mm rotor with the Rohloff mount.
  • Bike builders. Who are putting a disc brake on a Rohloff wheel.

Frequently asked questions

Which hubs is the Possible Rohloff rotor for?

Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14 hubs with disc brakes. Rohloff names a special four-hole mount for its disc-brake versions, and this rotor has that mount. If you are unsure which hub version you have, ask us before you order.

Can I use a Centerlock or six-bolt rotor on a Rohloff hub?

Rohloff says that special brake discs are required for its disc-brake hubs because of the four-hole mount. A standard Centerlock or six-bolt rotor has a different interface.

Are the mounting bolts included?

The listing is for the rotor. Rohloff delivers four rotor mounting bolts with every disc-brake hub version (art. 8214), and a set is also available separately in our shop.

Is there a Centerlock version?

Yes: Possible Disc Brake Rotor 160 mm – Centerlock, for hubs with a Centerlock seat.
