Booda Bike Trekking Frame Set – belt-drive gear hub, quick release - L

The Booda Bike Trekking Frame set (For Alfine) is a belt-drive-ready, matte black steel frame with a matching carbon fork – the same gearhub frame our Banker, Hiker and Pulse – Rohloff bikes are built on. It has vertical dropouts for hub-gear wheels, an integrated headset and an eccentric bottom bracket, so you can build your own belt-driven trekking or gravel bike.

Why build on this frame set?
Built for belt drive. A split joint in the seat stay lets the frame take a closed belt, and the eccentric bottom bracket moves the crank to set the belt tension.
Made for hub gears. The vertical dropouts (135 × 9 mm) take hubs with quick release, axle nuts or stud bolts, such as the Shimano Alfine or the Rohloff Speedhub.
Strong steel, kept light. The double-butted cro-mo tubes have a thinner wall in the middle and a thicker one at the load points.
Clean, hidden cables. The frame has internal cable routing, and the fork hides the front brake cable.
Modern brakes and axle. Frame and fork use flatmount disc brakes, and the carbon fork is a thru-axle design with the front thru axle in the box.
Ready for fenders. The frame set is fender compatible, and the carbon trekking fork has a mid-upper mudguard attachment.

Matte black, with a glossy logo
The frame comes in one colour only: matte black, with the Booda Bike logo varnished in gloss. It gives the bike a clean, elegant look that suits a commuter as well as a gravel build.

Hidden cable routing, integrated headset
The cables run inside the frame, so the lines stay clean and the bike looks premium. The headset is integrated – 1 1/8″ at the top and 1.5″ at the bottom – and included in the set.

Carbon trekking fork with thru axle
The carbon fork has a matte lacquer finish, hidden routing for the front brake cable and a thru-axle design. The front thru axle is included and tightens with a 6 mm Allen key. Frame and fork both use flatmount brake mounts, and the fork has a mid-upper mudguard attachment.

Dropout, split seat stay and belt
The vertical dropout takes hub-gear wheels, and the split joint in the seat stay is what lets you fit a belt. It is a common worry that the split weakens the frame – it is a misconception. The eccentric bottom bracket adjusts −2 mm to +4 mm with internal cable routing, and ±5 mm without it.
Who is it for?
- Builders of a belt-driven trekking or commuter bike. Our Banker (Shimano Alfine 8) and Pulse – Rohloff are built on this frame.
- Gravel riders. Our belt-driven Hiker gravel bike uses the same frame.
- Riders who want fenders. The frame set is fender compatible and the fork has a mudguard attachment.

Frequently asked questions
Which wheels and hubs fit this frame set?

Our Booda Bike Pulse – Rohloff is built on this frame with a Rohloff Speedhub 500/14 (135 mm), so a Rohloff hub fits too – ask us about the matching parts.

Can I fit fenders?
Yes. The frame set is fender compatible, and the carbon trekking fork has a mid-upper mudguard attachment.
What else do I need to build a bike?
Wheels, the belt drive with sprockets, brakes, handlebar, stem, seat post and saddle are not part of the set. If you are unsure which parts fit, write to us and we will help you choose.

About Booda Bike
Booda Bike is a bicycle brand from Budapest that builds low-maintenance, belt-driven bikes. It grew out of the MassiveBikes workshop, founded in 2013 to retrofit belt drives and build custom bikes, and its first models went on sale in October 2015.
This frame set is the same gearhub frame we use in our complete Banker, Hiker and Pulse – Rohloff bikes.
