Shimano OT-SP41 is genuine 4 mm SIS-SP shift cable housing, pre-lubricated with silicone grease and cut from the workshop roll in 0.5 m steps. Fresh housing is the cheapest way to bring back light, precise shifting on Alfine and derailleur bikes.

We cut the housing from Shimano's workshop box in 0.5 m units. For example, a typical rear run on a trekking bike needs about 3 × 0.5 m.
Heavy or imprecise shifting on an Alfine bike is often worn or kinked housing – replace it before you replace the shifter.
